The foundations of the group were first laid in the 1930s with a diversification from the education industry; soon after the materialization for the Khun Khun Ji Anglo-Vernacular Girls School by Rai Bahadur Sri Kishan Das.

In the 1940s the firm was solely in the wholesale for Silver ‘Sils’ from Calcutta and Gold ‘Patlas’ from Mysore and other cities . A decade later, a retail shop was set up for Silver ornaments and jewellery . The clientele included customers from the remotest towns and villages and cities in the state. By 1960, a full-fledged, one of its kind jewellery showroom was opened at Chowk, Lucknow by Rai Bahadur Sri Kishan Das along with his three sons which later branched out into its various concerns and firms as we know today.

The showroom, located at one of the oldest markets in Aminadab, Lucknow is the oldest branch of the concern and continues to serve its varied clientele.
